Mr. Over/Under: Bills +6.5 over New England
If you were with us last week, I told you that the Bills and Steelers, both had gone under the total 10 of the 13 weeks. Since they played each other last week, now both teams have gone under 11 of the 14 weeks.
If I was a betting man, which I am, therefore I expect both teams to go under again this week. By the way, Tampa Bay is just the opposite. They’ve gone over 11 of the 14 weeks. So, how’s the weather near Boston this weekend?
Looks like some sun and temps in the 40’s. No other team in the NFL can send a message like the Bills can this weekend. That message is…….. you aren’t going to dominate the AFC East anymore. A good team, with a great defense is getting 6.5 points, in what should be a low scoring game. It’s time. Take the Bills and the points

Man in Stripes: Georgia Southern -4.5 over Liberty
Sometimes in these lesser bowls you can get some great value, I think in the FBC Mortgage Cure Bowl, we have that..

Even though both teams are 7-5, Ga. Southern has played a much harder schedule, and was the only team to beat ranked Appalachian State this year., has won 6 of their last 8… Liberty , an independent, on the other hand, is in their second year in FBS, and thrilled to just be playing in the post season.. Liberty’s defense has given up 37 pts per game over the last 6..  Ga. Southern, with a 3 headed monster, JD King, Wesley Kennedy III, and Shai Werts , is 8th overall on the ground averaging 260  per game.. This one could/ will get ugly. Ga. Southern -4.5.. Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas to everyone!!!!!

Mono: Buffalo +6.5 over New England
This is a huge spot for Buffalo coming off their clinching a playoff spot last week. That slim 1 percent chance of a division title is better than nothing. In the first match-up the Bills made Brady look below average. If it weren’t for a Allen injury, I think he leads a game winning drive. I see this much like the first game. The Bills defense has something to prove. Take the points or the Bills on the money line.

Bonus pick: Ohio State + over Kentucky Saturday college basketball
Buckeyes travel to Lexington for a showdown with the Wildcats. Ohio State is much improved this year and has impressed me with their experience. Kaleb Wesson has been an animal down low. This is a classic match-up of experience vs youth. Kentucky has an outstanding recruiting class but they have a problem they haven’t had in year: Who the go to guy? Who’s the shooter? Kentucky comes in off an upset of Utah. Ohio State defense suffocates the Wildcats. Offensively the defense leads to fast break points.

Brutal: Utah State -6 over Kent State
The weather looks clear. Utah State is going to outclass Kent. Utah State played the much tougher schedule. Utah State’s QB Jordan Love declared for the draft but he is going to play in this game. I think he goes out determined to go out in style. He wants to go up the draft boards after a somewhat disappointing season. Kent State can’t keep up with this offensive battle. This is only Kent third bowl game in 40 years. Gary Anderson is back for his second round with the Aggies. Utah State are a top 10 scoring offense but they are dead last in time of possession. They score fast.

Bob Gaughan: Tampa Bay-Houston over 50
Have you watched Tampa Bay play this year? They throw on every play. It’s a fantasy dream. You want to have Jameis Winston on your fantasy team. He may throw three INT’s a game but he will end up with 400 yards passing. Byron Leftwich, the TB OC, should be a hot coaching prospect. The Texans need this game to stay ahead of the Titans. They have the ability to light up the scoreboard as well with Watson and Hopkins leading the way. The two quarterbacks have combined to throw 56 touchdown passes this year. The Bucs pass defense ranks second to last in the league. Tampa’s injuries at receiver has this line only at 50. If they were healthy the over-under would be several points higher. I still like the over in spite of the injuries.
