Mr. Over/Under: Rams -3 over Atlanta

The Dolphins are 1-4 against the spread this year. Four teams are 1-5 ATS. Baltimore, the Chargers, Washington and Atlanta. Atlanta has lost 4-in-a-row, while the Rams have lost 3-in-a-row.

While the Rams have lost to good teams, like Seattle and San Francisco, Atlanta has lost to poor teams like Tennessee and Arizona. I usually don’t like west coast teams coming east and playing 1 o’clock games, but this game is a must win for the Rams if they expect to stay in the NFC West race. The Rams have a much better defense and should be able to score on a week Atlanta defense. I like the Rams –3.

Man in Stripes: Oklahoma State -3.5 over Baylor

Baylor’s bubble bursts this week in Stillwater. Oklahoma State wins by double digits. Looking closer to Baylor they had close wins vs Iowa State and Texas Tech in OT. Both of those games were at home. The Cowboys only playing their third home game. Chuba Hubbard the sophomore running back is number one in FBS rushing yards. He’s one of the better players in the country that few people know about right now.

Mono: Texans-Colts under 48

Texans are coming off a big win where they scored 31 against a bad Chiefs defense. Colts are coming off a bye and had a few weeks to get their defensive backfield healthy. Colts last time out beat KC as well. Colts exposed a bad offensive line in KC. Houston offensive line is not good, as we all know. This game has 21-17 written all over it.

Brutal: Boise -6 over BYU

This is more because of BYU. BYU plays a much tougher independent schedule than Notre Dame. BYU has been on a losing streak since some good early wins. BYU is all banged up. Their QB is banged up even if he plays. They’ve lost three straight. Boise has two QB’s that can both play. Boise is a under the radar 6-0. Even though they are 14th in the nation no one is talking about them. They score over 30 points every week. This is a recruiting rivalry game where Boise wants to own the territory.

Bob Gaughan: Jets and Patriots under 42.5

The Jets showed last week that they are a different team with Sam Darnold. This week they will show their defense is different with CJ Mosley back. The Bills fans know that that defense with Mosley in there is the real deal. This will be a different game than the first time they played where they went over and scored 44 points. This will be much like the Bills-Pats game, a defensive struggle. Pats will have a conservative game plan. Pats don’t want to pass too much because they know that Gregg Williams will attack Tom Brady if he throws all day.
