Weekly Record 3-3-1, Overall Record 23-18-1

MR. Over/Under: Philly -3 over Jacksonville

Philadelphia should be totally embarrassed after allowing Carolina to score 21 unanswered points and beat the Eagles on their home field.
Now the Eagles have to FLY (Eagles do fly) to London and take on a very disappointing Jacksonville team. Jacksonville has won its last 3 games in London, but the Eagles have the better quarterback.  If the Eagles don’t win this one, their owner should make them walk back to Phily. Take Phily -3

Man in Stripes: Redskins -1 over Giants

What a train wreck the Giants football team is. They are in full tank mode after trading two defensive starters this week. Eli Manning is just at the end of his career. Just a matter of time before Odell Beckham head butts another fan. Giants are 4-19 over the last 23.  Pat Shurmur press conferences are pure comedy. Redskins will put 8 men in the box and stop Barkley. Alex Smith will limit his mistakes.  With Philly playing the way they have a division title is in their reach. Like it at only minus 1.

Mono:  Iowa +6.5 over Penn State

Last week I had faith in Penn State. I thought they were better after back-to-back losses. Here’s who Penn State is: They have a bad defense and on offense they rely too much on Trace McSorley. Iowa is coming in with a hot defense and a good offense. Hawkeyes are up to the task of a tough environment. They have the defense to shutdown Mcsorley and the offense to keep up. Iowa has hopes of reaching the Big 10 championship. I think they win outright.  I’ll take Iowa and the points.

Slick: Arizona +1 over San Francisco

Two 1-6 teams go at in in Arizona. Just don’t understand how San Francisco can be a 1-6 team on the road and giving any points. I thought this game would be Arizona -3. Give me the better offensive weapons with David Johnson and Larry Fitzgerald.  Defensively Patrick Peterson leads a defense that has been respectable in spite of their record. Arizona at home gets it done.

Mr. Brutal: Washington State +3 over Stanford

Got to go with one of my favorites Mike Leach.  Washington State is 6-1 and their only loss was a close one to USC.  The Cougars according to Leach were sure not to over-celebrate their win last week over Oregon.  Stanford has struggled on offense and has some injuries. Stanford just doesn’t look to me to be the same team it’s been the last few years. Take the Cougars and the points.

Bob Gaughan: Houston -7 over South Florida

A ranked team getting seven points.  Here’s why.  South Florida is the worst undefeated team left in the nation.  They just aren’t that good.  They’ve taken advantage of a very easy schedule. They even trailed a horrible Connecticut team 7-0 after the first quarter last week. I like the Cougars QB D’Eriq King. He’s thrown 23 TD passes and only 3 INT’s so far this year. Cougars are the much better team on both sides of the ball.  That’s why you should lay the touchdown against an undefeated team. Houston -7
