#33
Benoit Hogue, Sabres. This quick playmaker was drafted by the Sabres and spent three seasons as a regular. Then it was off to the Islanders in the Pat LaFontaine trade. He helped the Stars win a Stanley Cup in 1999. Others: Ronnie Harmon, Bills; Sam Gash, Bills; George Wilson Braves.
Bob Gaughan’s Numerology: I would go with Ronnie Harmon for 33. Hogue only had 45 goals with the Sabres. Both Hogue and Harmon played about four years here. Harmon had almost 1,000 yards combined rushing and receiving in 1987 in only 12 games. He’s known for short arming the ball in the end zone vs the Browns in 1989. Harmon was a great receiving threat for the Bills out of the backfield. He had over 1500 yards receiving in his four years in Buffalo.
