Jonathan Schoop 2B Baltimore Versus Seattle – Both the Orioles and Schoop have been doing well lately. Schoop is batting .295 with 5 Home Runs and 20 RBI’s during August. And .320 with 11 Home Runs and 43 RBI’s since the All-Star break.
Jorge Polanco SS Minnesota Versus Chicago White Sox – Polanco hit 2 Home Runs yesterday and has hit 6 Home Runs with a .387 Batting Average during August. Polanco and the Twins face left hander Derek Holland at home today.
Pitchers to Target
Trevor Bauer Cleveland at New York Yankees – Bauer has had success against New York and has pitched well since the all-star break. During August, he has compiled a 2.45 ERA and 1.36 WHIP with 40 Strikeouts in 33 innings.
Stephen Strasburg Washington Versus Miami – Strasburg has been pitching well since being activated from the disabled list. He is rounding into playoff form and has lowered his ERA and WHIP since June. During August, he has compiled 15 Strikeouts in 12 innings with a 1.50 ERA and 0.75 WHIP.
Mark Leiter Jr. Philadelphia Versus Atlanta – Leiter has pitched well during August compiling a 3.22 ERA and allowing a .207 batting average. Leiter also is a plus pitcher at home and during night games. He has compiled a 1.33 ERA and has limited batters to 13 hits in 27 innings pitched at home during 2017.
