Weekly Record 4-3-1, Overall Record 29-18-1

MR. Over/Under: New Orleans +1.5 over Rams

With a number of high scoring games this year, Vegas has 3 games this week with an O/U of over 52 and the Saints/Rams game at 60.

The Saints and Rams could meet again later this season for the NFC championship. This week’s game might determine home field advantage for such a match?

This looks like a shoot out, so whoever scores last should win it. If the Rams are going to lose a game this year, it should be this one, so

I’ll lean towards the home team. Take New Orleans +1.5

Man in Stripes: Duke +91/2 over Miami

Two teams meet that are struggling. Difference is that the expectations were a lot greater in South Florida.  Two Miami QB’s are playing poorly.  Miami offense isn’t putting up points and against a powerful offense like Duke, that’s not good news.  Stadium will be half empty and the boo birds ready to roll. Take the Blue Devils

Mono:  Syracuse -6 over Wake Forest

Syracuse ranked for the first time in 17 years.  Gotta believe they will be hyped up for this one. Wake and Syracuse defenses are liabilities but Wake doesn’t have the offensive power to keep up with the Orange. This is a must win this week and next week against Louisville for Syracuse because Notre Dame and BC are on deck after that. Very winnable game for Syracuse and I expect them to win by double digits. Take ‘Cuse

Slick: Ravens -3 over Steelers

I love this spot for Baltimore, against a division rival at home. Baltimore has been better at home statistically offensively and defensively. I love the love as well. Everyone is all over the underdog Steelers here.  Not me, I’ll take the Ravens who already won in Pittsburgh this year.  Baltimore gets back in the win column this week.

Mr. Brutal: West Virginia +3 over Texas

West Virginia’s only loss this year was to a good Iowa State team. Texas is barely beat a bad Baylor team.  The Oklahoma State Cowboys buried them last week.  The final score was flattering to Texas.  Texas couldn’t stop the Cowboys.  If you can’t stop Oklahoma State then you won’t stop a better offense in West Virginia. I have a feeling Texas is getting too much credit for being back. Love Will Grier and the hotter team.  WVU is the pick.

Bob Gaughan: Boston College -2 over Virginia Tech

I’ve seen both of these teams play this year and in my opinion the Eagles are the much better team.  BC is better offensively and much better on defense.  I think BC is the one team that could give Clemson a good game in this conference. I like the fact that I only have to give under a field goal. Virginia Tech was blown out by two teams this year with a good ground game in Notre Dame and Georgia Tech.  Boston College has a good run attack and I can’t see the Hokies stopping them. Eagles giving the 2.
