MR. Over/Under: Bills +4.5 over Miami
Five games have an over/under or 51 or more this week. The lowest over/under is Buffalo/Miami with 40. Interestingly enough, both Miami and Buffalo scored 24 points last week and each team went over. Each team has also gone over 5 times and under 6 times. The line on this game started at 5 1/2 and is now down to 4.5. Although I like the over, I also like a close game here, as Buffalo usually plays well in Miami. Buffalo should be able to run on Miami, and has a better defense and kicker. I like the Bills getting 4.5 points.
Man in Stripes: 2 Team Teaser, The 716 teaser UB +3 Bills +10.5
It’s all about the 716 this weekend. The biggest game in UB history at Ford Field with their best team ever. Tyree Jackson, Anthony Johnson and an opportunistic defense will beat a five loss Northern Illinois team. Then sit back and watch as Jerry Sullivan says the Bills go on their heroic run to 7-9. The Bills play hard for Sean McDermott. The Dolphins will not play hard as a home favorite. The Fins aren’t very good. I’ll take the 10 and the hook. Watch the money come home.
Mono: Texas +8 over Oklahoma
It’s tough to beat a team twice in one season. I think Texas has the much better defense. I like the Longhorns rushing attack. Oklahoma’s defense is atrocious. If the Sooners win it won’t be by more than a touchdown. Take the points.
Slick: Jacksonville +4 over Colts
Jacksonville has lost seven straight and people will be rushing to bet the Colts. Not so fast here, this is a division game and the Colts are on the road. Blake Bortles has been benched and Cody Kessler has to be better. I like Carlos Hyde as a replacement for Fournette. This should be a pick’em game, but the Colts are favored because of their slide. I think the Jags win straight up.
Mr. Brutal: Cal +3 over Stanford
Top two schools in Northern California meet in the Big Game. This game means more to Cal who tries to drop their recent losing streak to Stanford. The Cardinal simply isn’t as good as they have been in recent years. Cal comes in playing good football. Cal has won 4 of 5 with their only loss 19-14 to Washington State. This is the best defense Stanford will face all year. Cal +3
Bob Gaughan: Washington -5 over Utah
The Pac-12 is known for offense but these are the best two defenses in the conference. With two defenses that cancel each other out, I’ll take the team with the best offense. Washington has the much better QB, Jake Browning. Utah lost starting QB Tyler Huntley to injury. To make matters worse for Utah, they also lost starting RB Zach Moss. Washington is playing their best football after beating Washington State last week in the Apple Cup. Take the Huskies.
