Friday USC -3.5 over Washington State
Chris likes the Trojans to cover the small spread in Pullman. USC is battle tested having played a much tougher schedule. Washington State’s strength of schedule is only 118. USC has owned this series having won 5 straight by an average of 33 points.

VA Tech +7.5 over Clemson
Close Game. See Below. Many of Stripes points were repeated by Chris.
Va. Tech plus 7.5 is the play

Buffalo +8.5 over Atlanta
Bills 3-0 vs the spread to start the season. Atlanta very close to being 1-2 rather than 3-0. Atlanta 5-12 vs the spread vs AFC teams at home recently. Buffalo came through for Chris last week as an underdog and this is too many points to give again.

Denver -3 over Oakland
This could fall right around the number. Chris doesn’t like this game very much. Denver has won 8 of 10 in the series and he believes they should win the game but it might be only by the number, 3.

The Panel

Our Man In Stripes
Virginia Tech +7.5 over Clemson
College Gameday will be on hand for this one. This is usually a very tough place to play. Virginia Tech has been getting great QB play. Jackson has 11TD’s and only 1 INT. This is a re-match of last year’s ACC title game that went right down to the wire. Stripes sees a Va. Tech team that usually wins the turnover battle at home. Low scoring defensive struggle, take the points.

UCF -4 over Memphis
UCF is a very good team this year. Last week they went to Maryland and won 38-10. This is the same Maryland team that beat Texas. Getting value here because most people have seen Memphis beat UCLA and might be on the Tigers side. UCF has the much better defense. First home game since the hurricane, a big crowd should be on hand.

Wake Forest +8 over Florida State
Wake is 4-0 this year with wins over decent Boston College and Appalachian State teams. Wake is only giving up 11.5 points per game. Florida State is really struggling on offense. The Seminoles looked horrible last week losing at home to NC State. The Florida State offensive line troubles could be exploited by Wake. Wake’s defensive line is the strength of their defense. Big crowd on hand for this one at home. Biggest home game in years for Demon Deacons.

San Diego State -10 over N. Illinois
Northern had a big upset this year already on the road thanks to a couple of pick sixes in Nebraska. Nebraska outgained N.Illinois 384-213. Now they have to contend with a great running game from San Diego State. The Aztecs have already beaten Arizona State, Stanford and Air Force. This team is legit. Tough travel for Northern going out West. Northern has MAC schedule starting next week and need to stay more focused on that part of their schedule.

Bob Gaughan
Boston College -7 over Central Michigan
This isn’t the same Central team that was so good the last two years. Boston College has played the much tougher schedule. BC already beat a much better MAC team in Northern Illinois this year. Last week was a misleading final. BC was tied with Clemson 7-7 in the fourth quarter before the defending champs pulled away. Central’s only victories came against Kansas and Rhode Island. They were blown out by Syracuse and Miami-Ohio. Take the Eagles at home and lay the points.
