Stone Cold Locks of the Week Podcast and Picks

Chris Van Dine from Northcoast sports went over the big games.

College
Oklahoma State -12.5 over TCU
Kyle Rudolph has been on fire for OSU with 11 TD’s and only 1 interception to start the season. The Cowboys are averaging 54 points a game. The reason they have a slight lean here is because the Cowboys defense has been playing so well.

Pro
Bills +3 over Denver
Northcoast likes the Bills as a slight home dog. Last year the Bills had the number one rushing attack and the Broncos were 28th against the run. Denver is coming off an emotional win at home against Dallas. The Bills held the Panthers to only 255 yards of offense last year.

Seattle +2.5 over Tennessee
Seattle’s offense has been brutal so far this year. This is the same way they started off last year. The Seattle defense is still very good. This is going to be a close game and Northcoast like the points in this one.

For all of Northcoast’s real plays call 800-654-3448. This week they have their college total play of the month and their NFL game of the month.

Our Panel Last week we went 2-1-2, for the season we are 4-3-2.

Our Man in Stripes
Mississippi State +6.5 over Georgia
Mississippi State was all over LSU last week. The Bulldogs had a 465-270 yardage advantage and 25-13 in first downs. The Bulldogs defense was able to shutdown the LSU great RB Guice. Guice had only 76 yards rushing. This game is a toss up and Stripes likes the points.

Mr. Brutal
Penn State -12
Penn State has played well this year. Earlier this year they destroyed rival Pitt. RB Barkley is a Heisman candidate. Iowa was had a misleading final in week 1 against Wyoming. The Cowboys shot themselves in the foot all day. They were lucky to beat Iowa State earlier this year. Their luck runs out against a very talented Penn State team.

Slick
USC -17 over Cal
USC is value here because they are coming off a lackluster performance against Texas. Sam Darnold will be the first player taken in the NFL draft next year. Ronald Jones II has been running very well for the Trojans. Cal’s defense hasn’t seen anything like they will see this week. Step up in class for Cal and the Trojans beat them up in this one.

Mono
Vandy +18 over Alabama
Vandy impressed last week with a 14-7 win over a very good Kansas State team. Mano likes the good QB-RB combo that Vandy has in Shurmur and Webb. Vandy fans were asking for Alabama late in the game. This should be a wild crowd in Nashville.

Bob Gaughan
New England -13 over Houston
Deshaun Watson makes his second road start in hostile territory. Against New England rookie QB’s are 0-8 with 5 TD’s and 16 INT’s and a passer rating of 50.
New England is a house of horrors for the Texans. Houston is 0-5 in New England including an 18 point playoff loss last year. Little value here because the line is down with NE receiving injuries. Note that Houston is without their best CB in Kevin Johnson as well.

Good Luck!
