Weekly Record 5-3-1, Overall Record 34-19-1

MR. Over/Under: Indianapolis -3 over Jacksonville

This will be the first NFL weekend in which weather could be a major factor for some games. You have dome teams, like the Saints, Falcons and Lions that could be playing in rain and/or snow, while the Dolphins travel to a much colder Green Bay. So I’ll go inside this week and take a team that is trending in a very positive direction. The Colts have averaged 34 points in their last 5 games, while the Jaguars have averaged 15 points a game over the same period.
Stay warm, stay dry, stay indoors and take the Colts -3.

Man in Stripes: Syracuse -20.5 over Louisville on Friday

This line can’t get high enough. Plain and simple Louisville stinks and they have totally quit on Bobby Petrino. Coming off a 61 point beat down at Clemson. Louisville plays back-to-back road games in a short week. It’s senior night with Syracuse looking for revenge after a blowout loss to Louisville. Eric Dungey and company will add to their 47 points per game. Orange can name their score.

Mono: Kentucky -5.5 over Tennessee

Kentucky is coming off a tough loss to Georgia. Kentucky is good, top 10 good. I expect running back Benny Snell to have a field day against a bad run defense in Tennessee. Kentucky gets back on track.

Slick: Tennessee +7 over New England

This line is wrong to me. The Titans are legit and will do enough to keep it close. They are a top 3 rushing team and the Pats are one-dimensional. Although it is Brady, it’s never good to just rely on the pass. I think the Titans can get to Brady similar to the way Buffalo did. Unlike the Bills, the Titans have an NFL offense and will be able to keep this close against an inconsistent Pats defense and maybe win outright.

Mr. Brutal: Washington State -5.5 over Colorado

Colorado has lost four in a row. Buffaloes started the season winning five in a row. Now as the season has gone on they aren’t the same team. Washington State has a lot on the line ranked eighth in the nation. If Oregon State can put up 41 in Boulder then Washington State can put up a ton. Colorado has a poor pass defense. Gardner Minshew is finally getting some Heisman hype. WSU played a tough game against Cal last week. But I think is Cal is much better the Colorado.

Bob Gaughan: Cincinnati -13.5 over South Florida

Two weeks ago I told you that South Florida was the worst undefeated team in college football. They lost to Houston and then last week got beat at home by Tulane. This is a Tulane team that Cincinnati beat by 16. Compare the common opponents and it’s not even close. The Bearcats are 8-1 and have the much better defense in this one. The spread started at 12 and continues to go up. Luke Fickell is angry that his team isn’t ranked. A motivated Cincinnati team isn’t a good thing for South Florida.
