Survive and advance. LFG.
Look, I really hated Sean McDermott’s decision to kick the field goal on fourth down. That was far too conservative of a choice against a team like the Baltimore Ravens - the Bills needed to be much more aggressive in a situation like that.
I also don’t like Joe Brady’s decision to not go for a QB sneak on the third down prior to the field goal, although his play call should have been a touchdown. It was a zone-read option, but Josh Allen made the wrong read there and kept it himself. Had he handed it off to James Cook, it would have been a walk-in score.
Buffalo’s defense needs to be better against the run and on third down, and their offense didn’t have its greatest day at the office either. But I digress.
That Mark Andrews drop on the Ravens’ two-point conversion sure helped. Come playoff time, I’ll take a win any way you can get one. Pretty or ugly, all that matters is getting the ‘W’ at the end of the day.
On to Kansas City for the AFC title game against the Chiefs for the second time in five years. One win away from a fifth Super Bowl appearance. Job ain’t done!
