Mr. Over/Under:Falcons +6.5 over Cincinnati
If you’ve been betting the under, in the NFL this year, chances are you’re a head of the game. 61% of the games have gone under this year, compared to 48% at the same point the last two-years. Yet this week I’m looking at 2-tems that have been scoring above the league average, Atlanta & Cincinnati. While the Bengals have averaged 23-points a game, Atlanta has averaged 24.3. Atlanta is 7th in offensive efficiency while Cincinnati is 21st. Atlanta is the only team in the NFL that has covered the spread every week, and I expect them to do it again this week. I like the Falcons at +6.5.
Man in Stripes: Teaser Giants +9 and Jets +7.5
Cue the Frank Sinatra music…If you can make it there, you can make it anywhere. Well so far the Jets and Giants are a combined 9-3 SU and ATS. I hope I’m not late to the party. The Giants off a big win vs the Ravens are headed to Jacksonville. Jacksonville started off well but now they realize there the Jaguars. Our friend Brian Dabol has done a great job with smoke and mirrors. Then we have the J…E…T…S… JETS, JETS, JETS. Rob Saleh has done a great job turning this laughing stock around. Huge win in Lambeau last week. Now they play the most disappointing team in the league in Denver. Even Jeff Skinner is laughing at the Russell Wilson contract. Maybe a flat spot for both but getting over a TD vs a terrible team. I’ll run all the way to the bank. Sprinkle in the ML too. It’s up to you NEW YORK< NEW YORK!!!!!
Mono: Over 54.5 in TCU and Kansas State
TCU is in the final game of their gauntlet. They already have wins over Oklahoma, Kansas and Oklahoma State. Now they must face number 17 Kansas State. This offense can score points regardless of their opponent. I expect Duggan and Quinten Johnson to continue their run. Adrian Martinez has found new life with the Wildcats. I expect him to be able to keep pace. I expect both teams in the 30’s with TCU pulling away late.
Brutal:South Carolina +3.5 over Texas A&M
I think the wrong team is favored here. I don’t like A&M at all this year. The Aggies can’t stop anyone. South Carolina should be able to run the ball all over this A&M defense. A&M played Bama tough but now we know this might not be the same Bama team. South Carolina is coming in on a three game winning streak. One of those wins was vs a good Kentucky team. There should be a very rowdy crowd in this night game in Columbia. A&M hasn’t beaten anyone on the road this year. South Carolina is a little better team than most people think.
Bob: Lions and Cowboys over 48.5
Welcome back this week Dak Prescott. The Cowboys offense should be much better now that they get their leader back. It doesn’t hurt that they are playing statistically the worse defense in football. The Cowboys like everyone else should be able to move the ball up and down the field on the Lions. The Lions should be able to bounce back after the bye week. They were shutout by the Patriots. Of course Bill Belichick has had Jared Goff’s number going back to the Super Bowls a few years back. This Lions offense out side of that game has averaged 35 points per game. I expect a shootout in Jerry’s world.
