Mr. Over/Under:Titans -2 over Houston

We’re getting to that time of year when the weather can be a factor for outdoor games. That’s why I always check the forecast on Saturdays, even for London games. Another thing to check this time of year is injuries, who’s out and who might be coming back. As of this writing (Thursday) there are 3-games with a spread of 3.5. That’s the one spread I never bet. There are 8 games (including Thursday) with a spread of 3-points or less, including Tennessee at Houston. Houston has a terrible rush defense and lost their leading defenseman Malick Collins last week. I expect Derrick Henry to have a banner day, as Houston has allowed a league leading 32 runs of 10-plus yards. No weather problems in a dome. Take the Titans -2.

Man in Stripes: Arkansas -3 over Auburn

These two teams meet after both coming of the bye and both are trying to salvage their season. This is a mismatch in the trenches. The Razorbacks come in ranked 9thnationally rushing the ball with 240 yards per game. I love their dual threat QB KJ Jefferson who has them averaging 33 points per game. Auburn on the other hand is ranked 119thnationally at defending the run.  They yield over 200 yards per game. Auburn struggles to score as well. Arkansas wears down the weaker front seven of the Tigers. Lay the three with the better team.

Bonus pick: Phillies +190, Nola and Wheeler could go 4 times. Crazy crowds in Philly.  I think they have value here.

Mono: Penn State-Ohio State Over 60.5

This Ohio State team is one of their best in the last five years. They’re expecting star receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba to return.  He along with Marvin Harrison Jr. make up too much fire power for the Nittany Lions to handle. I’m expecting them to score 40. Penn State can score too.  This does depend on the health of QB Sean Clifford. With him this team should be able to put up at least 20. This reminds me of the Michigan-Penn State game. This game should easily stay over the total.

Brutal:Jacksonville -1 over Denver

The Jaguars should have one last week against the Giants.  They fumbled going into the end zone.  Jacksonville is 4-4 in England.  They’re the adopted team of England. Denver has the worst offense I’ve seen in years. Iowa’s offense might be better.  Russell Wilson doing his work out on the plane. Are you kidding me. No one on the team is happy with his showboating. Look at the body language of the receivers on this team.  They are fed up with Wilson.  Wilson doesn’t like the system. Hackett has to realize that he is done.  This could be his last game as coach. Trevor Lawrence at this point is the much better QB.

Bob:  Bills -10.5 over Packers

The Bills blow out teams that are mediocre to poor.  Green Bay has proven this year that they are at best mediocre.  The surprise to me is the Green Bay defense.  This was supposed to be one of the better defenses in football. That hasn’t been the case at all.  Rodgers seems dis-interested.  I know he doesn’t have the best weapons but he is a poor leader to the younger core of receivers.  His attitude is exactly what they don’t need.  The Bills defensive line should be able to be in his face all day.  This is a bad match-up for the Packers as they come in a mess.  This should be a blow out. Good news if you work Monday you can go to bed early.
